The connector for the scanner, is under dash just left of the steering column. you can go to any auto parts store and have the problem codes read for free. they will put there scanner on. and tell you what the codes meanings are. ( unless you have your own scanner! you can go to advanced auto, auto zone, ETC>tell them you need the car scanned for problem codes. Good Day! Hope this helps you out.

is the passenger side coming on? it is possible that it is setting the code for different speeds also. may want to check the cooling fan relays.

Have a 2003 impala 3.4 replaced fan assembly and relays 2,3 still get check engine light and code p0481 what next?

Not familiar with the code but I would say, take it to a trusted mechanic who can identify the code, this will tell you which sensor is sending the code. It may be the 02 sensor and can be reset when the mechanic checks and resets your codes.

Code B0026 is a code for a malfunction in your steering wheel Sir coil circuit.It is possible that replacing the SIR coil may solve your problem.The coil is located on the steering column under the steering wheel.

I think you may have read it incorrectly...you do not disarm it, you need to know the code, so when you are finished, you can turn it back on.
If you don't have the code the dealer can give it to you.

Looked it up in Chilton's, confirmed in http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/

P0481 Cooling Fan 2 Control Circuit Malfunction
