Sudden loss of power duramax 6.6 ?

As I've told others, the rough running and smoke is from excess fuel when engine is running and warm. The temperature sensor is faulty, have it checked, and the computer is holding it in "cold start mode", like tehchoke is still on.

My car is back at the factory getting "worked on"...sudden loss of Power and control while driving on the freeway...has anyone else experienced this? ... That means it has a miss. Either you need new spark plugs, wires, or a bad coil. Make sure all the spark plug wires are on all the way.

With the engine running wiggle every wire connection you can find and you should find the loose connection/broken wiring.

It sounds like a lack of fuel. blocked fuel filter or lines?

suggest you look at a bunch of these youtube videos .

Good place to start is with a new fuel filter, then have your fuel pressure tested. If your fuel pressure is less than specified for your vehicle, it will cause those symptoms.

05 duramax injectors have gone bad I'm told because the ecm has gone bad. Is this the case or I'm I being told a crock? They say it needs 4 injectors. While I was driving down the road it started missing and then it would quit and start missing again. After about 6 miles it died. After changing the fuel filter and priming the system it would not start unless assisted with gas vapor. It will run for a few seconds (20 or so) very rough with no power at all and then would die. Does Chevrolet have any recomendations or will they give any assistence with this problem. I don't think I'm the first person that has had injector problems with the Duramax .

I know GM decided to run the brakes and power steering vacumm all off of the power steering pump on some of their trucks. This could really be a big problem because if your power steering quit it would stop supplying your brakes with vacuum to stop the truck. In my experience I would check out the situation with the steering pump. Change it for a new one. Don't take any chances on smashing your truck.

Sounds like an igition switch to me, with the discription you are giving.
