No idea what a tremec is but here's a good rule: There is likely no engine used anywhere that uses less than four quarts of oil, and, no engine that will sustain damage with four quarts in it. (some small passenger cars may use 3.5 but 1/2 qt over is not damaging)
Therefore to find how much oil will fill your vehicle, put in four quarts, start the engine, turn it off and check the level,. Then, check to see how much more you need to fill it, make a note somewhere and you will have that info forever!!!

The oil dipstick is located at the back of the engine.  If you look at the engine from a top view it is located at about 11 o'clock.  It's black.

it would seem that your vehicl is in limp in/ engine protect mode this typ of problem should be under warrenty you need to take it to the dealership to have this fixed at no cost. hope this helps. please rate this solution. thanks
