SOURCE: 2001 Jetta 1.8T 172 engine code

You may just have a dirty MAF sensor, spray brake clean through the sensor and clear the code, run it a few days to see if the code comes back.

SOURCE: p0171 lean code will not go away. changed fuel

Double check the very small hose that comes off of the manifold, since it sits so close to the manifold, I would not be surprised to find it frail and broken.

If you have tried everything else, have you had the code cleared after you changed out the parts? try having it cleared again....

2006 honda odyssey P0172 & P0175 (System too rich)

If you getting codes for the same thing on both sides of the engine you'll need to look at the parts before the fuel and air enter the engine. You need to look at the air intake system as well as the fuel parts. I'm assuming the air filter is new and clean? Sometimes the fix is that easy.
Have you checked and cleaned the MAF sensor, (Mass Air Flow Sensor). This reads air flow levels into the engine and uses it to adjust fuel levels going to the engine.
*Note* When you clean the MAF sensor use the correct cleaning spray and DO NOT go poking around inside the main opening. The MAF assembly uses a very fine wire as part of the sensor and this is VERY easy to damage.

1998 volvo s70 2.4 glt turbo

code p0102 refers to MAF/VAF sensor ---low input ===causes --wiring short to ground. MAF/VAF sensor
code po172 refers to system too rich --bank 1=== causes ---intake blocked --EVAP canister purge valve---fuel pressure ---HO2S sensor
code po random misfires ---plugs --wiring ---injectors--low compression
code po305 refers to cylinder 5 misfire detected ===causes --engine mechanical fault--ignition/ fuel system ---injector ---ECT/MAF

I would check that the air filter is not blocked first as it affects the MAF/VAF sensors . Have a fuel pressure system pressure test done

2009 pontiac g6 purge valve solenoid

code PO171 fuel trim system lean bank 1 conditions.possible causes air leaks in intake manifold exhaust pipes or exhaust manifold. fuel control sensor is out of calibration such as ECT IAT MAF.fuel component faulty like stopped up fuel filter fuel injectors clogged low fuel pressure faulty fuel pump. HO2S element contaminated or has failed. purge solenoid is part of EVAP system. if you have faulty purge solenoid you would get code like PO443 meaning evaporative emission control system purge control valve circuit malfunction.try replacing fuel filter clean fuel injectors see what happens.

P134, p0141, po300, po130 and po135. 2005 Sunfire.

Given that most of the trouble codes are for the O2 sensor, I think I would change it. The multiple misfires could be because of improper fuel/air mixture caused by a bad sensor. Disconnect the negative(-) battery terminal then change the sensor. Disconnecting the negative(-) should reset the computer and allow the fuel/air mixture to return to default allowing the engine to start.
P0130 - O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
P0134 - O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
P0135 - O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
P0141 - O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
P0300 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected

2001 ford focus had the spark plugs and wire change. Has a code po171.. ran good for two days. The spark plugs are blacker than acs of spades which is running rich. Don't know what to do next. To me its...

PO171-System to Lean (Bank 1)

Air filter cover tight?
All intake ducting tight?
Clean MAF Sensor.--CRC MAF Cleaner
Fuel Pressure Regulator?
EVAP Purge Valve-stuck open?
Vacuum leaks?
EGR System-issues?

Seems your getting a lean O2 Code, because it is trying to correct for a rich condition,as you said.

Is the Throttle Position Sensor-original?

Work on what is driving it rich,my list is a possible.

Lack of fuel when accelerating

This might help. It looks like you O2 sencor had gone bad or the signal has and causing multiple mis fire. according to your codes.
PO171 System too Lean (Bank 1

PO174 System too Lean (Bank 2)

PO300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected

Causes of PO300
Fuel injectors, related wiring, sensors and computer issues
Running out of gas, or poor fuel quality
Evaporative emissions system (EVAP) concerns: fuel vapors leaking into engine
Incorrect Fuel Pressure
EGR system concerns

I'ld start with chaning the O2 sensors first but sheck for bad wire connection. Hope this helps and good luck
