Hi William,here's a link to your camshaft sensor,it is saying that it is built into your distributor.Here'a what it says about your p0340 code.

What do you mean "the battery still no fire"?

Do you mean that there is no spark at the spark plug?
Have you pulled out a plug, grounded it and cranked the engine to check to see what colour (if any) the spark is?
If there is no spark at the plug, then either change the plugs if they look to be in very poor condition, or change the coil.

P0340 is the camshaft position sensor A circuit {bank 1 or single sensor}

it could be a battary fuse or a igntion siloniod

Did you try looking through the fuse panels or relays?

Look up arm of brake pedal for a switch that gets depressed when pedal is pushed. Probably near top.

Are you looking for a serial number of a model number? The 1998 pathfinders have the VG33E engine (introduced in 1996)
