How to replace all fuel lines ? - Silverado 2500HD Chevrolet Cars & Trucks

There is not simple answer to that! (I am assuming that your truck is the EFI model, and not the earlier carbureted version.) You will first need to relieve all pressure from the fuel system by either disconnecting the inertial switch and attempting to start the vehicle, or disconnecting the fuel pump power and attempting to start the vehicle. Once you have depressurized the fuel system, start tracing back from the fuel rail! There will be a pressurized supply side going all the way back to the electric fuel pump, and there will be a low-pressure return line from the other end of the fuel rail returning to the gas tank.
You will find that many of the pieces for that vehicle are PRE-FORMED STAINLESS STEEL, and some of those pieces will need to be ordered from Chevy. Best of luck to you!

I have a 2000 bravada that i need to replace the fuel lines on and i need a diagram for the gas tank and fuel lines.

Replacing fuel lines on a 2000 Bravada involves dropping the gas tank and replacing the damaged or worn out lines. Here are the steps involved in dropping the gas tank and replacing the fuel lines:
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent any electrical hazards.
  2. Remove the fuel pump fuse or relay to relieve the fuel pressure.
  3. Raise the vehicle using a jack and jack stands and secure it in place.
  4. Locate the fuel tank and disconnect the fuel lines and electrical connections from the tank.
  5. Support the fuel tank with a jack or stand and remove the straps or bolts that hold it in place.
  6. Lower the fuel tank and remove it from under the vehicle.
  7. Inspect the fuel lines and replace any that are damaged or worn out.
  8. Use the appropriate fuel line connectors and clamps to replace the fuel lines.
  9. Install the fuel tank and reconnect the fuel lines and electrical connections.
  10. Reinstall the straps or bolts that hold the fuel tank in place.
  11. Lower the vehicle and reconnect the negative battery cable.
As for the tools needed, you will likely need a socket set, wrenches, pliers, a jack and jack stands, and a fuel line disconnect tool. You may also need a fuel line repair kit if the damage is significant.
It is important to consult a repair manual or seek the help of a qualified mechanic if you are unsure about any step in this process. Additionally, be sure to follow proper safety precautions when working with fuel and fuel lines.

Car not starting

The below will only be relevant if the engine ran properly before you changed the fuel line, so making an assumption on that. Not sure what you mean by "won't start fully". After replacing a fuel line, it could take a while for all the air to be purged from the fuel line. If this means the engine will fire, but stumbles and misses, and you are sure you have purged all the air from the fuel line, then you may have introduced contamination into the fuel system when you changed the fuel lines. If there is a fuel filter downstream of where you replaced the fuel lines, try replacing the fuel filter. If there is no filter downstream of the replaced fuel line, then the fuel injector could have caught the contamination. That scenario will be very time consuming to fix...R&R fuel injectors.

How do you replace fuel line on 1996 buick regal 3.8

I am assuming you are referring to the fuel line that runs from the fuel filter back and goes over the fuel tank. If that is the case. 1. remove fuel pump relay, then crank car and allow car to run until it dies (this will purge the fuel from the fuel line, not necessarily required but a good idea). 2. use 2 wrenches to remove line from fuel filter. 3. trace line back over fuel tank until you get to the clip that attaches fuel line to fuel pump. clip is simple to remove just like the one on the outlet side of fuel filter. if looking for the replacement part. hit the junk yards I paid $15 at a you pull a part place verses 85+ through a dealer (this part is not carried by the auto parts places here in GA)

I have a 95 olds 88. i smelled fuel when i drove it so i checked the fuel filter and it was wet. i replaced that and then found there are (2) steel lines next to the fuel filter and one of them is leaking....

The other steel lines beside the filtered line are also fuel system related. One is a fuel return line the other is the EVAP line or vent line from charcoal canister (as most call it) to fuel tank. They can be replaced with new lines available at local parts stores.

Where is a 1989 nissan z24 4 wheel drive fuel regulator located? starter went bad, replaced it, fuel line had a leak, replaced it, fuel pump wont push fuel through it, bought a new one and now the truck...

Fuel reg. is connected to the fuel rail where the return line is connected, my thoughts are you mentioned air in your lines.. crack open fuel lines and run fuel pump to release air from lines. Pump then should prime all lines must be primed turn engine over to release air ( No Smoking) then tighten lines. fuel rail might have valve, (looks like tire valve) if so it is recommended that air is relieved at air valve

follow fuel lines from gas tank to engine are any lines crushed. next replace fuel filter. check to be sure fuel filter is installed in right direction. arrow on fuel filter should point toward engine. double check that fuel lines are connected properly, some fuel pumps have three fuel lines one for pressure , one for return and one vent line.last possible bad fuel pump from factory
