My renault 1.5 dci 2011 keep showing check anti pollution system it was serviced about 8 months ago I rang the dealer they said to run at high speed for about 40 miles, I did this with no luck I have been using extra clean diesel this has made no difference is there an easy way round the problem,Thanks Dave.
How did you fix this John ? I have a similar problem.
Buy a OBD unit from the internet and plug this into your engine management system(found under the cup holders - center console). This tells you the fault with the car and also enables you to erase the fault. You dont have to have any knowledge of cars for this my 8 year old daughter could do it. I found that the fault was indication an injector was not working. but there was nothing wrong with the car it was still running well. This solved the problem. The units cost approx. 12 pounds on the internet. Phil.
Try cleaning the egr valve

sorry my pet hate hate ,renault electrics ,this is a dealer only job because the vehicle uses advanced encrypted software that not even the dealer has ,its connected via the internet to the factory direct .So pay your money and take your chances

Hi i think the problem is one of the coils ( very common on renaults ).
The shaking is the engine missfiring.
Because of the missfiring the emissions are not correct which brings on the engine light.
If you are able to get a diagnosis ( code reader ) done on the car it will tell you which coil is gone
