My brake and abs light comes on and then my speodometer doesnt work

sound like you have a bad abs sensor , you can have this problem checked out by a mechanic with a OBD2 /ABS scanner they should be able to tell you which one is bad or if the ABS module is bad as well

abs unit fault. could be the connector the seals do fail on them. you will need to take the connector plug off the unit clean it and check the seal.

well first of all if ya brake light and abs light are coming on you have a issue with your braking system and you should get that checked most of the time its the abs pump that fails brakes still work fine but abs does not but it can be something more as far ac ac thats a whole diffrent catogorey they are two seprate issues even though they appear to be occuring at same time one issue will not contribute to other issue totally diffrent circut and wiring all together best bet take it to shop or deal with it you will never find issue guessing just being honest i work for bmw as mechanic for 3 years and ford for 5 and brake issues are complex and its a dignostic process not guessing if it helps please rate 4 stars helps me to continue to help people out there

theres a problem with the abs, when the abs has a problem the brake and abs light come on, also dsc light does too, because it uses the abs to control the system so when abs doesnt work it shuts down the dsc and turns the light on, you will need to have the abs system scanned for codes these codes will give an idea of whats not working and it can be diagnosed why.

You most likely knocked the electric plug loose when you changed the brakes, go back and make sure they are tight.

I had the same problem with ABS light and speedometer, I was told that it is the transmission control module. It has not yet stopped shifting but I have had times where it just wont stay running. It will start and then stall. Hope this helps.

ABS light on doesnt work

The brake and ABS light both come on when you are receiving no speed signal. Most likely the speed sensor in the top of the rearend is bad.
