First thing I would do if I was you is take the battery terminals off, no battery, no spark, no problems, when you open the tank

should be a shift lock button towards the top of the gear lever? if not then just use a jump battery.
if you can't get to the cars battery buy a cheap plug for a cig lighter socket and and use a 12v battery. a 9v battery may do it if your fast.

But if your over....you need to unbolt the right side motor mount (on the water pump side) and lift the engine some with a floor jack to get clearance,
