Why ? you wouldn't under stand them any way , computer controlled . (door modules - BCM - body control module ) Do youself a favor an take it to a qualified repair shop.

Usually its related to the RAP module in the BCM .. Retained Accssory Power is a function of the Body Control Module ... timed to shut off, or shut off when the drivers door opens ... BCM may be the culprit ..
