Hello, does your radio still work? have you carried out any recent work, esp electrically oriented? as it could simply be a fuse,or a thermal cut out, have a look in your owners guide book, and see where the locations of the various fuses and thermal cut out's are,and replace them as necessary, there are also fuses on the back of the radio/dvd ,which you may need assistance removing the items from their position,to gain access. hope that helps, cheers.

The remote start quit working on my 2008 mercury mountaineer, what do I need to do to fix it.

These remotes most likely don't have to be reprogramed. Just take the battery out and replace it. It should work after that.
