Check fuses, relays and body control modules (in that order.) If necessary get a good wiring diagram and trace systems back to see where shared power is supplied.

Had same problem with 2003 JGCL, found problem in turn signal relay. You will not like digging for it, because you will have to remove two peices of dash board, peice below instrument panel and knee board (2 bolts on bottom and 2 screws on top). The relay is the long cube, top center above the main fuse box.

I just paid the local Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealer $95 to tell me that my fuse box (junction box) has a short in it. He wants $995 to fix it. I previously replaced the turn signal switch, but could not remove the flasher unit with the junction box in place. I've now removed the entire junction box out of curiosity, and it took the full grips from both hand to pull the flasher. I've looked all over the internet to find the replacement part number, P56038406AJ, but with no luck. I'm now cruising the junk yards to see if there's a Grand Cherokee with one I can pull out at a reasonable price. I'll walk to hell before I pay Chrysler $995 to have a working turn signal. Most people in Georgia don't use them anyway!
