My 2008 Saturn Vue won't start. Fuel pump doesn't make vibration noise when key is turned on?

If you have no DTC's then it could just be your fuel pump. To test that theory, spray a small amount of carburetor cleaner into the air intake of your car and then see if it will start and run for a short while. If you can bypass the air filter that would help with this method. If it does start, then you're more than likely in need of a new fuel pump. If it doesn't start then you'll need to troubleshoot why you don't have ignition spark.

I need to know how to bypass my ignition on my 2004 Saturn vue and wire a push button start. Which wires go where?

unless u use key in ignition which is coded to vehicle for --security,ignition,your vehicle will not start===the key gets recognized and the computer than starts vehicle trying to by passing will cause all sorts of problems that the basics the security and passlock technology as well as saftey makes just bypassing anything almost impossible with out disabling the vehicle to point of shut down where you would need to bring to dealer for software hook ups for repairs

Passlock security

The 2000 saturn runs the passlock system. Unlike VATS its predecesser, this system is much harder to bypass. The old "resister" trick that many people still do, does not apply for this system. So lets start at the basics. The security light flashing indicates 1 of 3 things. The problem in your passlock is either in the KEY, IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER, or WIRING before the Theft Deterrent Module (computer). This means you could replace the key or the ignition (whichever is to blame) and you might be ok. You would have to reprogram the key to the ignition. The other option is to bypass it. Unfortunately that costs money also, but honestly no more than a new transponder key and far less than a Lock Cylinder. Just trying to give you all the options. Here is a link that explains the SECURITY problem rather well and gives some good tricks and options for fixing this yourself permanently

WHY IS THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT ON IN MY SATURN??

The Check Engine light will light when the ECU stores a trouble code.
Counting the Flashes
To retrieve trouble codes, turn the ignition key to the "on" position with the engine OFF.
The Check engine light will flash many short blinks. The total number of blinks equals the code number. For example, flash, pause, flash, flash = code 12.If more than one code is stored, the Check engine light will flash the codes in sequence (lowest to highest) with a pause between each code. The codes will repeat until the key is turned to the OFF position.

Need to bypass the passlock system on my 2001 saturn sl2

well easiest way is to tape the old key near the ignition

without key you need to essentially re wire the ignition and under the hood arround the computer controlls and power supply

99 Saturn SC1 ''Service engine soon'' light is on.

Did you get the code that triggered the SEL? If you know that, it will be easier to diagnose your problem. You can do it without a tool on the old saturns. Just need a paperclip. :

Use a paper clip to jumper Terminal A and B of the ALDL *Assembly Line Diagnostic Link* which is above your left knee.
Terminal A is an interal ground and is the top right terminal in the connector. Terminal B is directly adjacent and to the left of Terminal A.

Turn the ignition to ON.

All codes are 2 digits between 11 and 99. Codes are displayed on the SES light by flashing the light with short and long pauses to distinguish digits of one code from digits of another. The short pause is used between digits of the same code, long pauses are between codes. Also, each code is flashed three times before going to the next code.

For example, the sequence of code 12 will be: flash, pause, flash-flash, long pause, then repeat 2 times. If Code 12 is not displayed, the self-diagnostic pogram i snot functioning properly.

If only Code 12 is displayed, no system malfunctions have been stored.

Any existing system fault codes are displayed in order from low to high, except for Code 11.

On vehicles with an automatic transaxle and on which exist stored transaxle codes, Code 11 will be displayed last, then the SHIFT TO D2 light will begin flashing transaxle codes of flags.

When all engine codes have been displayed, Code 12 will flash again.
