The 62TE requires +4 ATF. There
are many different blends of ATF that
meet the +4 requirement (markings for
+4 are clear on the labels).
Service Fill Level: 5.5 qts/5.2L
Total Unit Capacity: 9.0 qts/8.5L

62te trany 2008 sebring in reverse wants to go forward drive positions no movement

Hello
The issue you're describing with your 2008 Sebring and its 62TE transmission not moving in drive positions but trying to go forward in reverse could be due to a few different things:
  1. Transmission control module (TCM) failure: The TCM is responsible for controlling the shifting of the transmission. If it fails, it can cause the transmission to behave erratically.
  2. Shift solenoid failure: The shift solenoids control the fluid flow to the clutch packs in the transmission. If a solenoid fails, it can cause the transmission to behave abnormally.
  3. Low transmission fluid level: If the transmission fluid level is low, it can cause the transmission to shift erratically or not at all.
  4. Wiring issues: If there is a problem with the wiring in the transmission control system, it can cause the transmission to behave abnormally.
To diagnose and repair the issue, it's recommended that you have the vehicle inspected by a professional mechanic with experience working on transmissions. They will be able to diagnose the problem and make the necessary repairs.
Have a nice day

2008 Chrysler Sebring 62TE TRANsmission GOES INTO GEAR ..DOesN'T MOVE, REVs, and TRIES TO GO FORWARD.

Question edited for a bit more clarity.
Please don't post is all CAPS, it is considered SHOUTING and is harder to read.

Ideas here. Low transmission fluid or solenoids is the most likely.

Is there any way to control or modify shift points in a Dodge 62TE transmission in a Grand Caravan? My 2016 shifts perfectly: 1-2, 2-3, 3-4,

My understanding is that on newer vehicles ... all shifting is done by the PCM/TCM ...so to change shift points requires making changes to the software. There is no manual way to do it, as was the case in the "old days".
Since your vehicle is not that old ... this symptom may be covered by the powertrain or emission warranty.

Finding where to put transmission fluid can be a bit of a challenge on some cars. In fact there are some transmissions that you can't even add fluid to.But that's not the case on your vehicle.

First confirm the level of fluid before filling it.==========For exact transmission fluid replacing/filling procedure.Go through the list of help links below:-----its having complete step by step procedure.Click the link :----

Add fluid transmission

TRANSMISSION FLUID

Checking automatic transmission fluid

The 5R55N transmission does not have a transmission fluid dipstick.

Refer to your scheduled maintenance guide for scheduled intervals for

fluid checks and changes. Your transmission does not consume fluid.

However, the fluid level should be checked if the transmission is not

working properly, i.e., if the transmission slips or shifts slowly or if you

notice some sign of fluid leakage.

Transmission fluid should be checked and, if required, fluid
should be added by a qualified technician.

How do you know when you need to change your transmission fluid in my 2002 ford explorer

This is in the owners manual pages 269 and 270. TRANSMISSION FLUID
Checking automatic transmission fluid (if equipped)
The automatic transmission does not have a transmission fluid dipstick.
Refer to your scheduled maintenance guide for scheduled intervals for fluid checks and changes. Your transmission does not consume fluid. However, the fluid level should be checked if the transmission is not working properly, i.e., if the transmission slips or shifts slowly or if you notice some sign of fluid leakage.
Transmission fluid should be checked and, if required, fluid
should be added by a qualified technician.
Do not use supplemental transmission fluid additives, treatments or cleaning agents. The use of these materials may affect transmission operation and result in damage to internal transmission components. Checking and adding manual transmission fluid (if equipped)
1. Make sure the vehicle is on a level surface or level hoist.
2. Clean the filler plug or dirt and debris.
3. Remove the filler plug and inspect the fluid level.
4. Fluid level should be at bottom of the opening.
5. Add enough fluid through the filler opening so that the fluid level is at the bottom of the opening.
6. Install and tighten the fill plug securely.
Use only fluid that meets Ford specifications. Refer to the Lubricant Specifications in this chapter.
