Brakes lock up
Without know any specifics,I would say you have a bad sensor or exciter ring for the a.b.s sensors. Earlier built new model town cars 90-91 had problems with the front exciter rings and sensors because the rings are part of the hub and bearing, and first model years used cheap thin metal for rings that got easily damaged causing a false a.b.s activation.does it seem to happen more often at lower speeds coming to a stop? Under 10 mph more so than coming of a highway on a gradual stop? Unfortunately if this is the problem the a.b.s light could not be staying on, it'll flash when happens, but won't stay on because it's actually doing what it's supposed to do. So my recommendation is to bring it to a reputable repair shop and have them repair it.this is considered a safety concern so please don't drive until it's fixed.
