Isuzu rodeo 3.2 2001 year V6 engine what fuel pressure should be at the fuel rail?

The fuel pressure at the fuel rail with the engine off on a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo with a 3.2L V6 engine should be around 0 psi, as there is no fuel being pumped into the system.
As for the fuel pressure specification at the factory, it is typically between 35 to 45 psi (pounds per square inch) with the vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator disconnected and the engine running. However, the exact specification may vary depending on the specific model and configuration of your vehicle, so it is always best to refer to the service manual for your particular make and model for the exact specifications.
It's important to note that fuel pressure can be affected by a variety of factors, such as a clogged fuel filter or a faulty fuel pressure regulator, so if you are experiencing issues with your fuel system, it is always a good idea to diagnose the problem before attempting to adjust the fuel pressure.

Loosing fuel pressure every ten to twelve seconds

are you using a gauge? is this the 1.0L engine 3cylinders.
Trottle body injection (TBI) >
running or not?
the correct way to do this is measure at the fuel filter test port

ill quote the FSM
  1. Relieve fuel system pressure.
  2. Disconnect the fuel inlet line at the fuel filter and install a suitable pressure gauge on the line.
  3. Connect a jumper wire between the terminals of the fuel pump relay connector and check the system pressure on the gauge.
  4. Fuel pressure should be 25-33 lbs.
  5. As the pressure reaches 33 lbs., the relief valve in the pump should pulsate the pressure so it is always within specification.
  6. If the pressure is above specification, check for restrictions in the fuel lines. If no restrictions are found, replace the fuel pump. If the pressure is below specifications, check for battery voltage to the fuel pump and correct as required. If battery voltage is found, replace the fuel pump or fuel pump relay.
  7. Before removing the pressure gauge, relieve the fuel pressure again.
  8. Reconnect the fuel line. Start the engine and check for leaks.
end quote.

Has fuel pressure but not getting gas

The FIRST thing to do is scan your onboard computer network for possible fault codes. You may just have a code for a cranshaft position sensor or Mass Air Flow sensor or something similar that will explain why the engine is not getting any fuel.

Check the fuel delivery system to make sure it is performing according to manufacturers specifications:

The fuel pressure specification for 1999 Dodge Durango is 44-54 Psi. (3.0-3.8 kg/sq.cm) Please note that the specification published by the manufacturer is with the key ON, engine OFF and the fuel pump being activated with a scan tool.

Also note that "CLOSE" is not good enough. I have had vehicles towed in that were only 2 or 3 Psi under the minimum specification that would not start.

If the fuel pressure/fuel delivery is within specifications, then you need to check your fuel injection system. If it gets this far, let me know and we can continue diagnosis.

I have a 93 buick regal custom 3.1L. The car takes two tries to start and then once it gets going it will stop when i take my foot off the gas. Any advice?

Sounds fuel related. but, first, when was your last tune-up(plugs, fuel filter, pcv valve, air filter, check all fluid levels)? If everything has been checked, the next thing is get your fuel pressure checked with a fuel pressure gauge. Also have your diagnostic codes, if any, read by a parts store for free. A code will direct you to an engine or emissions-related problem.

Torque specs for 1993 7.3L diesel injector

please rate, thanks

Installation
  1. Thoroughly clean nozzle bore in cylinder head before reinserting nozzle assembly with Nozzle Seat Cleaner T83T-9527-A. Pay particular attention to seating surface, in order that no small particles of metal or carbon will cause assembly to be cocked or permit blow-by of combustion gases. Blow out particles with compressed air.

  1. Remove protective cap and install a new copper gasket on nozzle assembly with a small dab of Multi-Purpose Grease D0AZ-19584-AA (ESR-M1C159-A) or equivalent. NOTE: Anti-seize compound or equivalent should be used on nozzle threads to aid installation and future removal.
ani_caut.gif CAUTION: Be careful that nozzle tip does not strike against recess wall.
  1. Install nozzle assembly into cylinder head nozzle bore.
  1. Tighten nozzle assembly to 47 Nm (35 ft-lb).
  1. Remove protective caps from nozzle assemblies and fuel lines.
  1. Install leak-off tees and lines as an assembly by lowering onto nozzles. Connect clip and hose to fuel return elbow at pump. Install line to retaining clamps. NOTE: Install two new O-ring seals for each fuel return tee.
  1. Connect high pressure fuel line(s) and tighten to specification using Fuel Line Nut Wrench T83T-9396-A.
  1. Start engine.
  1. If necessary, purge high-pressure fuel lines of air by loosening connector one-half to one turn and cranking engine until bubble-free fuel flows from connection. ani_caut.gif WARNING: KEEP EYES AND HANDS AWAY FROM FUEL SPRAY. FUEL SPRAYING FROM PARTIALLY OPENED CONNECTION UNDER HIGH PRESSURE CAN PENETRATE THE SKIN AND CAUSE INFECTION. MEDICAL ATTENTION SHOULD BE PROVIDED IMMEDIATELY IN THE EVENT OF SKIN PENETRATION.
  1. Check for fuel leakage at high-pressure connections.

Check fuel rail pressure.

Add fuel to beyond 1/2 tank.

A weak fuel pump do not like to ran low on gas.

When was the last gas filter and fuel pump change?

90-120,000 miles is the typical change out.

Fuel pump like to quit on a HOT day.

Test the pressure and see is it within specification.

Good luck

Locate the fuel pressure regulator. Check if its fuctioning. Hook up a fuel pressure gauge, and make sure it is within specification, if it is within specification, the fuel rail pressure sensor is not accurate and must be replaced.
