02 pontiac grand prix front end roar started about 5 days ago intermittantly. Now has got much louder and starts at about 20mph and gets louder up to about 60. Rotated tires didnt solve problem. Inspected under car dont see anything viusally wrong. Turn right or left sharp seems possibly make it quieter but not sure.

Engine drive shaft bearing is bad...u have from motor. left and right side shafts. and each side has a inner by motor and a outer by wheel bearing so 2 bearings on each side.. replacing both...on either side.saves from having a second job done later

Sounds like a front wheel bearing. Pretty common. You have to replace the hub as an assembly. No servicable parts inside.

I usually put the car on a lift and run it in drive to listen. From what you describe it should be easy to hear the bad one. Make sure to shut off traction control if equipped.

98 Pontiac Grand Prix load front end roaring?

Defective fan clutch, if it has one. With a cold engine only, try spinning the fan blade by hand. If it does not turn freely, the fan clutch is defective. Warning: When the engine is hot, the fan can turn on by itself with the car not running and keys are NOT in the ignition.

Have a roaring in the front end. starts at 25 mph . gets louder the faster you go. changes sound if you turn stearing wheel side to side.

That is the classic sign of a bad wheel bearing. Put the front of the car on jack stands and push-pull on the wheel. Which ever one moves or clunks has the bad wheel bearing. You can also try pushing/pulling from the top and bottom if you can't get movement pushing/pulling in and out.

Roaring is heard from front end when going speed

I have a 98 Ponitac Grand Prix GT. Soon as you start going it starts roaring. Gets loader the faster you go till 70 mph. When I am turning to the right a little while going 60 mph the sounds quiets down. Only to the right. I have replaced both wheel bearings, got brand new tires, new brakes. Didnt stop the roaring. Would it be cv axles, rack & pinion, transmission, etc?
