02 eclipse gives a transmission solenoid code, had replaced at least twice, what could be the problem?

I've had a couple places look at it. They threw a solenoid in and it's still not working.

My 02 grand am gt is acting up engine light is on went to autoparts store to get it checked out it threw codes p1404, p0404 and p0300 i already changed the egr valve twice and it wont help can someone plz...

code p0404 refers to Exhaust gas recirculation system (EGR)--range performance problem--- causes---hose leakage--wiring---EGR valve/solenoid
code p0300 refers to random/multiple cylinder/s ---misfire detected.---causes---spark plugs---ht leads---injectors--ignition coils---low compression ---wiring. Remember it is best to use genuine sensors/solenoids as the cpu is set to them. Try changing the egr solenoid

02 GCL tranny problem

The transmission in your vehicle is a 5-45RFE model.Check,or have the fluid level checked.I would have the vehicle scanned for trouble codes, and with the scan tool, there is a feature in the data stream called "clutch volume indexes".I always look at those to determine clutch pack wear as a tool to evaluate the condition of the individual clutch packs inside the trans.A way to look inside the trans without removing a single bolt.Backing up to the codes,if there are any, thats the direction the repair will go unless the "cvi"'s indicate otherwise.I have seen shorted out O2 sensors cause transmission shift problems as you had described, but the trans always went back to normal operation after the O2's were repaired/replaced.The solenoid packs i replace with every rebuild, with a remanufactured unit as they are prone to problems also.It is possible to replace the solenoid pack without a rebuild too.The solenoid assembly is located on the valve body, just inside the trans pan.
