'89 corvette 6 speed - when the car has full battery, when I push clutch, the car won't turn over.
SOURCE: I have a 1984 corvette,
go under the dash above the clutch pedal (u may have to remove the hush panel on bottom of dash to see it) and check the clutch safety switch (locks out starter unless clutch is depressed), there should be 12 volts in and 12 volts out of the switch with the pedal depressed and the key held to start/crank position, if not jump the switch connector until u can install a new one.
SOURCE: put new battery in 89 corvette now will not turn
THERE IS A NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH ON THE SHIFT LEVER, UNDER THE PLASTIC. THE PURPLE WIRE & OR THE YELLOW WIRE SHOULD HAVE POWER WHEN YOU TUN THE KEY TO START. THERE IS A ANTI THEFT MODULE BEHIND RIGHT SIDE OF DASH THAT MAY OR NOT BE A PROBLEM. THE TROUBLE MAY BE A BLOWN FUSIBLE LINK WIRE. THERE IS AT LEAST ONE AT THE STARTER, SOME AT THE POS. BATTERY TERM. SOME AT THE JUMP START JUNCTION. THESE THINGS ARE SHORT WIRES, THAT ACT AS FUSES. THEY ARE USUALLY THICK INSULATION, SMALL WIRE INSIDE. PULL ON THEM ONE AT A TIME IF THEY STRETCH OR COME APART THERE IS THE PROBLEM. REPAIR OR REPLACE AS NEEDED. I WOULD START WITH THE FUSIBLE LINK AT THE STARTER.

should be adjustable. if its on top of pedal arm try adjusting it away from the pedal
