Noticed the alarm going off on the car today, and continued to do this although nothing was triggering it ( was parked in a quiet drive, no kids ect) went to leave and the "door ajar" light was on. Doors won't lock, interior lights come on every time I stop. Could the two be related? Going to try WD40 on the door latches, but am concerned about the alarm triggering. Wondering if it was triggering because it "thought" the locked door was now open. Any suggestions? It's my college sons car. Thank you.

the best lube to use for these latch assembleys is PB BLASTER available at your local parts store. spray each latch really good one at a time, then open and close door 10 to 15 times. trust me PB BLASTER takes care of this 90% of the time

the door switches are part of the door latch, the easiest way to remedy this is to spray liberal amounts of WD40 into each latch and open and close the each door a few times, this should loosen up the latch and solve your problem.
Hope this helps.

spray your door lock with dw40. sounds like the sensor in your door frame is not making correct contact. look on your door frame. all door frames. and see if you can spot any torn rubber or anything that could cause the sensor to not correctly close
unhook your battery for 5 mins then hook it back up go to each door and open and close one at a time that way you know which door is having the problem once you find that out replace the door switch and problem fixed or just dont open that door.
