The brake system has a leak. If you don't see any fluid on the ground after you pump the brake pedal repeatedly for about 60 seconds and then wait 2 minutes, it could be the rear wheel cylinders. To examine them you have to remove the rear drums.

I have a 2004 Ford f150. I am having to add brake fluid every two weeks. I have checked the lines and have found no visible signs of leakage. Please help

check around the brake booster at the brake rod end of the master cylinder
it will either be going into the brake booster and being sucked up by the vacuum and burnt on brake application , or leaking down the inside of the fire wall under the floor mat
indicates that anew brake master cylinder is required

2014 Outback - Brake light flashes and Check Engine light come while driving then the engine shuts off. Wait 2-3 minutes before restarting. Happened 3 times in the past week.

Have the codes read. Check the brake fluid level. Wouldn't surprise me if low brake fluid doesn't kill the engine know days.

I don't know where to add clutch fluid.

Should be a white plastic reservoir under your hood on the firewall on the driver's side. It will have a cap on it. Should be one for the brakes and one for the clutch.

WHERE TO ADD FLUID TO CLUTCH MASTER CYCLENDER

it appears from my info, that the clutch master cylinder is connected by a tube to the brake master cylinder resevoir, and it gets it's fluid supply there. Fluid would therefore be added AT THE BRAKE RESEVOIR. fIND THE CLUTCH MASTER ON THE FIRE WALL AND VERIFY THIS THOUGH, AS i CAN'T SAY THAT i REMEMBER SEEING THIS IN PERSON. gOOD LUCK, AND GET BACK TO ME WITH ANY MORE QUESTIONS.(Sorry, don't type well, and accidently hit caps lock)

I have had to add brake fluid twice in the 7 months since I bought my 2005 Malibu. Should I be concerned?

Hi!

YES! You should be very concerned. The breaking fluid must never leak. It can happen anytime that the car loses all breaking power, by leaking more fluid and by air entering the system. Please let a professional check and repair that breaksystem.

Best regards!

I need to add brake fluid. Does the car have to be warm or can I do it when it is cold?

You can add brake fluid when its cold just make sure you are adding the right fluid most vehicals take DOT 3 brake fluid, look inside your owners manual in the recommended fluids and lubricants section and make sure thats the right brake fluid for your ford......

The brake light comes on but doesn't stay on. Is this because the fluid is low? How do I add brake fluid? How do I know how much to add? Is there a special kind to buy? 1997 Avalon

Use a Dot 3 conventional fluid and add to a clear plastic reservoir you will find under hood directlty in front of the steering wheel. There is a float inside which will detect low fluid and trip the indicator.Big concern is why is the brake fluid low in the first place? This will almost always mean wearing brake pad linings as the fluid will displace the missing lining thats worn off the pads. This probably is an indication that near future brake repairs are on the way which will include brake pad replacement. The other sitation you may enounter is once the pads are replaced, you will then be in an overfilled situation to where the fluid will have to be removed to have the correct amount. I would probably get a visual inspection on the brake lining wear then elect to add fluid at that time or replace brake pads.
