I took my 02 Hyundai Accent GS to get inspection, there, these codes came up:P0722 Output Speed Sens Circuit No Sig
P0717 Input turbine Speed Sensor Ckt No Sig
The inspector told me i should take car into dealership, but i wanna know if anyone else has had this problem and how much will it cost me? And could i fix th eproblem myself?
You just need to replace the sensors. If you are mechanically inclined, you can do it yourself. If you don't feel comfortable working on an expensive transmission, take it to the dealer.
Being that it is a 02, and this is the first time you have had this problem, I doubt reprogramming would do anything. Reprograms/reflashes usually happen within the first 3yr/36k. The Sensors should come from the dealer. Not 100% sure about your model, but most speed sensors screw/bolt on from the outside. Some, not all require the valve body to be dropped to get to them. If it has been over 30K, you should have your fluid changed as well.

How much would sensors cost and where would they go? From there i can definitly figure it out.
And i also read that these codes may be faulty and that reprogramming may be required.
Is this problem found in the transmission?
