SOURCE: emissons code on a 2005 suzuki reno po496
This code means the engine is getting outside air from somewhere in the system. Most of the time this code is thrown when people forget the gas cap. Or the gas cap has gone bad. on either case take the car to autozone have them clear the code maybe buy a gas cap if you didnt leave ti off and it wont give you any trouble. If the code comes back after the new gas cap then you need a new charcoul filter that mounts tot he top of the gas tank.
SOURCE: 2005 suzuki reno, how do you reset check engine
leave the battery disconnected for a while, 20 min to make sure it resets the computer. If the light is still on then there in an ongoing fault that is getting tripped and turning on the check engine light. Go to an autozone or local autoparts store, they will check it and erase it for you for free.....OBDII scanners aren't cheap.

SOURCE: My 2005 Suzuki Reno won't
Two common possibilities; no fuel or no spark.
Neither of these are that tough to check.
Pull any one of the spark plug leads off of the plug.
Position it so the open end is close to the engine block, chassis or other obviously electrically grounded point.
Have someone crack the engine for several seconds while you watch for spark.
If the insulator is very deep, you may not see one and then you need to stick (carefully) a screwdriver into the plug and watch the shaft of it for spark.
If you have a spark, put the lead back on the plug.
Now, finding a point to check for fuel.
Most fuel injected cars have a connector (port) on or near the fuel rail that supplies the injectors with fuel.
It looks a lot like a tire valve but different size and DON'T confuse the Air Conditioning connectors - you would be bleeding off refrigerant. If you can't tell the difference, ask a friend.
Either of these connectors may have a cap over the valve.
After a start-attempt is made, there should be pressure in the fuel line.
Once you have found the right port, with you face turned away or protected, briefly press the valve's center pin to see if it will squirt fuel.
If you have fuel, then I think you are better off having the car looked at since there are several things that could now be at fault and it would require more knowledge (and a little equipment) to pursue them.
