97 pontiac transport has a high idle, how do u replace the idle control valve?

SOURCE: on a 96 pontiac transport, where is the radiator drain valve?

on the drivers side under vehicle there is a little spout (plastic) turn it counter clockwise if this does not work undo valve hose

this problem I find in alot of 3.4 ltre grand-ams and that is the wiring go to the intake air temp sensor is broken at the connector. the wire will look good but in the insulation it will be broken. just give each wire a tug, if the wire pulls out then that is the broken one.

it is ok 1chek if cable is loos its ok 2idel control loction is on the intak wher suks the air it loks like a motor 3 or 4 wirs on it

irt runs off of a shaft that is turned by the camshaft, mistakenly called a dummy shaft, actually call the oil pump drive shaft. in earlier designs of this engine, the distributor lived in the hole where this shaft goes. it can be found under the throttle body. it kind of looks like it has a freeze plug in it.

My 97 chevy lumina recently started to idle high it will actually drive itself shifts hard and not into every year and only my right front brake works

The high idle problem could be a stuck idle air control valve or a major vac leak. Something like the vac hose going to the power brake booster for example.
The computer controls idle speed with the idle air control valve.
Extra air may be entering the intake beyond that control valve.

Rough idle on 97 Pontiac sunfire with no check engine light or error codes...Both coil packs, ignition control module, spark plugs, and spark plug wires have been replaced

could be fuel , try a fuel addative , get one that covers the catalytic convertor as well as the valves , injectors etc,look for any signs of wear/damage to vacuum and air hoses
