Bought a Colt CZ3 in Oct. '05. the steering always pulled slightly to the left since the car was new.Tracking, ballancing, done numerous times but nothing changed. Not wearing the tyres unevenly. After the last track and ballance the stering seems very stiff and does not attempt to right itself coming out of a bend. Any ideas

Indicates a wheel alignment problem
have the rear suspension checked and aligned first then have the front redone
the car could be going sideways down the road because the rear wheel are not in line with the front tires
not self centering and stiff indicates not enough castor

This dosen't help but.........
I have a similar problem. Every 4 weeks or so the car refuses to start. Again battery is not a problem but if we use cables to jump start from another car it starts fine.
Mitubishi cannot find the answer, only suggestion was to spend £150 on a new key , however the problem has now occured with both of the keys !

This is usually due to the tow in being wrong. An alignment is in order, it could be the bearing was not torqued right though.

I have a 2005 renault espace 2.2dci - It fails to accelerate from stationery and has a 3-4 second delay before increasing its speeed this proves dangerous at junctions as it disllows me to accelerate ?...

Hi,
The problem in the acceleration might be the electronic governor and the clutch have to be replace. ur nearest service center would check on it thoroughly, its a bit expensive and a experience Renault technician is needed! The front wheel alignment should be checked again, as u said somebody have tinkered on ur steering! Tell them to check the front wheel alignment(toe-in/toe-out) and the cambering. Ask them to show the result of computer wheel alignment. Wheel balancing is for the tyres only, not the steering!
Hope that Fixya up!

Pulling to Left

Hello!
Perhaps you may be looking in the wrong area, have you checked tyre pressures? also tyre condition? you have obviously had the tracking checked? If all these are o.k. maybe a Brake caliper is binding slightly on the nearside wheel?
Good luck! Hope this sorts it for you? press the Blue Button to appraise my Free effort if it does,

Steering goes sideways

Hi, You need to be checking the track rod end, the bottom ball joint and bush, the wheel bearing, and the shock absorber, all on the left hand side. You could take it to have the tracking checked and they may notice something whilst checking it if you mention it to them. Cheers.
