2000 ford ranger 5 speed problems.

2000 ford ranger wont shift into gear when it's hot. Have to rev it up to get it into gear. When i come to a stop and gear down from 1st to neutral I have to yank it into neutral and hear a big clunk sound. Could it be a master cylinder or possibly have air in my line?

Will these 2002 ford ranger transfer cases interchange, mine is reg cab 4x4 standard 5 speed 5T13-54-000-038[1L547A195CE]other Access cab 4x4 Automatic 6C13-54-000-037 [1L54-7A195-CC] outsides are same

ONLY use the identical item as the original equipment.( Don't waste your time looking at other products). If you use a different unit you will have significant issues.

Speedodometer stopped working, o/d light flashing and my truck does not want to go out of first gear???

The best thing would be to have transmission control module - ( computer ) checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes . The flashing O/D light is trying to tell you that . The transmission is in limp home mode . A sensor or shift solenoid is most likely the problem . Your transmission is electronically controlled , has sensors , shift solenoids , an a computer that controls it all , plus electrical signals (inputs) from the engine computer .

I have a 94 Ford Ranger with a 4.0 engine and a 5 speed trans. The truck has been sitting for a while and now when I drive it the shifting is hard going into 2nd and 3rd. It shifts fine when sitting...

the shift sinkcranizers are dry .may have to pull the shifter and use some white lithum grease on it work the shifter from gear to gear working in the grease drive the truck for about 25-30 miles and change trans fluid

2003 Ford Ranger-5 Speed. At times is very hard to get into gear

Your clutch is not releasing all the way. (Assuming the problem is not internal to the transmission) Bleed the system. If that doesn't work, rebuild the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder and bleed again.

Over drive light blinking after about 5 miles of driving.

abs (ABS)sensor is the anti-brake skid sensor and has nothing too do with the transmission
you are referring to the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) run the fault codes as the TR sensor and the TCM are most likely the faulty sensors

Idle speed problem

I had a similar problem, engine would fluxuate engine idle speed. I had to change the "Throttle Position Sensor." You might have that checked out.
