How do i replace the sunroof track on my 2001 jeep grand cherroke limited? the bracket that the air deflector attaches to is broken.

You have to remove the headliner. Remove all the door column bezels and rear bezels, both sides. Remove the sun visors. Remove any dome lights and look for screws. Most headliners have plastic buttons and Velcro that hold them in place. Start in one place and work your way around to release the headliner. Being extremely careful. Because if you pull down to hard, you will crack the headliner, leaving a nice crease. Once the headliner is out, You can get to the sun roof regulator and motor.

Water in floor board passenger side of 2001 jeep grand cherokee. Could it be the sun room drain. If so where is it located?

I had the same problem with my jeep. If you aren't positive that it is your sun roof check to make sure that your doors are shutting completely. One way to check is by pouring water along the crack where your door meets the body of your car. My sun roof as well as my drivers side door had a leak in them and instead of getting the sun roof fixed I had sealant put around the rim of the window and I haven't had any problems since.

How do I get the sunvisors off so that I can put new material on the roof of my `996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo?

Remove the two screws located on the fulcrum bracket of the visor (they may be concealed by push caps), unclip it from it's catch, and pull the bracket down gently. Depending on the visor there may be wires still attached. Continue pulling the wire out of the hole until you see the connector and then disconnect it.

I have a 96 grand cherokee with a power sun roof and it will open but not close

For the "power sunroof", in the repair manual, review this section ZJ-Secc-23-Body-Components

I suspecs that clean and simple adjust is the solution.

Good luck.

Leaking sun-roof

If you open the sunroof, look towards the rear corners and you will see 2 openings that are the drains. If the drain openings are clogged, you will get water into the car from the sunroof.

Sun roof

This is a common issue, it is caused by a relay block that is mounted close to the sunroof motor, after time the main 2 relays on the block come loose and can be fixed by taking out and re-soldering them, i fixed mine and two other friends jeep sunroofs this way, works like a charm

My sunroof has opened and now it won't close. Any clues?

You will have to remove the sunroof motor, and the sunroof glass. Then you can move the guide tracks seperately until they are in the closed position. Then you can put the glass and motor back in, remove the power source (fuse or disconnect wire harness) to prevent any accidental opening until you can get it fixed. Chances are that a guide track or cable is broken, this can be a costly fix. Do not take it to the dealership, they will only want to install a whole sunroof unit. Take it to a local shop that installs aftermarket sunroofs
