My 2004 nisan sentra automatic wont go in reverse

I've heard that if the transmission filter gets clogged it can keep cars from going in reverse. The filters are usually accessed by removing the pan at the bottom of the transmission. You should just replace the filter. In addition to the filter you will probably need a new gasket for the pan and new transmission fluid. Definitely a do it yourself project if you can lift the front end onto stands or drive up onto wheel ramps.

Either the trans fluid is two quarts low or the internal clutches are worn or a weak front pump in the transmission

Reversing lights wont work

Look in your owners manual to see where your fuse box and relay box is located. Check to see if fuse is blown in the fuse box first.

let the car sit for an hour and then turn key to on position then you should hear the feul pump whine to prime the lines. dont try to start it just go as far as the on position.
