I Have BMW 325ti Compact E46 on an 02 plate a few days ago when I reached 5500rpm the car without any warning cut out but put into neutral and managed to start it straight away agene at around 45mph still moving. This has happen twice now but then seem to sort its self out. Today the engine management light came on two days after the first cut out. Could you help? any information would be really appreciated Cheers.

well to start with go to your local part store like auto zone the have factory wire haness plug it has color code and which wire goes where make sur u get some black elec tape its a pretty simple task
When your ASC light is on this is to let you know your Automatic Stability Control system is switched off press the ASC button Till light is off /ASC is on this works with your rev limiter and should stabilized your idle. If the problem persists have your throttle control unit checked as thi can trigger the ASC light as well and may also activate the ABS light if not fixed
