The Brand name does not matter but I would choose bosch, champion, autolite or any other name brand, not generic. Just make sure that they are the right one for your year, make, model and engine size.

Is it hard to tune-up a 2004 Trailblazer yourself? It looks like there are several things that need to be taken off before the sparks/plugs can be replaced.

To replace spark plugs, the plastic intake that goes over top the engine needs to be removed, and all electrical connectors for sensors that are attached to it. After that just remove the ignition coils and there are the spark plugs.

Spark plug replacing on a 2003 chevy trailblazer

Take the plastic resonator off the top of the engine, along with the aircleaner and ducting.

There you'll see 6 coils, each has 2 screws, do one at a time so they don't get mixed up. After the 2 screws are off, pull the coil straight up and out. There you'll see the plugs. I'd suggest using A/C Delco 41-103's as these engines love these and will idle better than most other brands. Hardest one to get to is the cylinder next to the fire wall because of clearance, but with some extensions and elbows, it's doable. When replacing the coil onto the new spark plugs, make sure you listen, or feel for a little click. If this is not felt or heard, it may not be on correctly. Many people have made this error, and your engine will not get spark to that cyclinder until corrected.

My 2003 chevy trailblazer is getting a po301 code and i'm wondering if you can tell me where the number 1 cylinder is?

Very first one in the front of the engine. Cheapest way to fix this is to replace your spark plugs first. Use AC Delco 41-103, a little more than off brands, but will idle better than any other plug. If this doesn't work, replace the coil pack on cylinder 1. One of these will fix the problem. Also, check the wires that coil plugs into, if all else fails.

Where do i find spark plugs and wires on chevolet trailblazer 2002

The spark plugs are located normally near the value cover where you put in the oil. The wires run from the spark plugs. If your vehicle is a 4 cylinder then there will be 4 spark plugs. If it's a 6 cylinder there will be 6 spark plugs.

Get very low gas mileage (14.4 mpg) on a 2004 Chevrolet trailblazer. Has 140,000 miles currently. Just did a complete tuneup almost a year ago. Any suggestion as to get better gas mileage?

suggest you add lucas fuel injector cleaner that you just add to gas tank.your plug wires may also need replacement, they break down causing loss of spark, consider what brand you replaced them with last year, we're they cheap off brand? remember you get what you pay for when buying knock off imitation parts.suggest you also replace that old air filter too. hope this helps!!
