2002 Pontiac grand am suddenly stopped running while driving now just hums when trying to start

run fault codes and check for cam/crank position sensor fault. check that the cam shaft is turning over ( broken timing belt) The whistling sound is probably air from compression escaping past bent valves.

Need to know how many sensor. is on my transmission.. 2003 Pontiac Montana v 6 .. can you show me picture where transmission control solenoid goes?

There are 12 common sensors and 10 internal sensors. The most common that often fail (MAP), (TPS), (CAM), (IGN), (CRANK) MAP is your mass air flow which is located at the beginning of your air intake, TPS is the throttle body position sensor, the CAM is the cam shaft position sensor (transmission), IGN ignition position sensor and the CRANK sensor is located near the bottom driver side front

Where is the cam sensor on a 95 pontiac sunfire with a 2.2 liter engine?

I think the crank sensor is next to the oil filter, and the cam sensor is above the crank sensor.

How to find and install temperature cooling sensor on a Pontiac Sunfire 2002 ecotech 2.2L dual over head cam?

Follow top rad hose to where it meets the engine, this connects to the thermostat housing, the sensor will be within a 4" radius of this point. It will have 2, 3 or 4 wires (maybe order part 1st then it helps you find it) they are screwed in and out with a 17mm spannert... easy job.
