Bank one stands for the same side as the number 1 cylinder. Sensor 1 is the first sensor in the bank, (closest to the engine or upstream).
In most cases you will find it on the drivers side\left hand side of the engine and above the catalytic converter. Look for it on the lower portion of the exhaust manifold.

SOURCE: Where is the crankshaft position

Hello Aldozer.

It is mounted below the power steering pump and behind the AC compressor(if equipped).
Both will need to be removed to access it.
Here is a pic of the engine after they are removed.

2000 Suzuki Vitara will not start when engine hot. Runs fine and starts well when cold. On investigation - no spark. any Ideas, Paul

Hi! My friend and I have experienced similar problem with each of our Suzuki Grand Vitara 2000 (his) and 2002 (mine). He discovered (two years ago) that cooling the "camshaft rotary sensor" by pouring (normal) water (which I also did just last week) and it works to start & run the car until the next pull-over. You have to redo pouring water if you stop the endine and does not re-start. But this may be just an emergency solution wherein you have to let the car be serviced by a mechanic.
