Remove the inside trim and undo the mounting screws. Suggest you do not try to adjust the internal parts of the mirror because it is inevitable to mirror will not want to go back into its designed position. Better to find a replacement unit

How do I replace the turn signal light on the drivers side view mirror?

If the signal flashes on the outside of the glass, then the yellow lens will pop off the mirror assembly using a small screwdriver etc for bulb access. If the signal flashes inside the mirror assembly, the mirror will need replacement or there is a wiring issue

Install side mirrow

To replace your side mirror, disconnect the battery's negative cable. Take off the interior door panel. Unplug the wiring harness if you have power-controlled mirrors. Take out the mirror bolts with either a socket wrench or a nut driver. Separate the actual mirror from the mirror assembly. Use a torx driver to extract the screws, and then pry the plastic tabs on the backing until the two pieces separate. Attach the new mirror to the assembly by snapping it onto the backing with the tabs.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On my 2008 ford F350 the driver side mirror marker lights are not working. I need to know how to repair them. Thanks

If it's just that the bulbs that have burnt out you'll need to position the exterior mirror glass inward toward the vehicle.(Note: Use caution to not trap the side lamp assembly wiring during installation, or damage to the wiring may occur.) Using a flat blade screwdriver or something similar, push the mirror side lamp assembly forward while releasing the retaining clip. Separate the bulb holders from the mirror side lamp assembly and remove the side lamp. Replace the bulbs and reassemble. I hope this helps you out.

The entire assembly has to be replaced, can not just replace the mirror.Remove the plastic trim on the inside of the door on the top part of the panel, either comes off with one screw or bolt or simply pull and it has pins in it.Then remove your bolts that hold the mirror in from the inside. If you have a power mirror remove the electrical pigtail, then simply reinstall.Hope I could help..HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

Hot to install driver's side rearview mirror '98 Expedition

3 10mm nuts located behind the interior door panel (directly behind the mirror assembly) attach the mirror to the door. Also there you will find the point of attachment for the power as well.
