I have a 2001 626 Mazda v6 and just change the themostat and its running hot what shall I do?

SOURCE: i cannot find themostat on 1994 mazda 626 2.5liter v6 engine

The thermostat is located on the front left of the motor facing the radiator(Almost directly below the radiator cap). The lower radiator hose is attached to the thermostat housing.

You must remove the transmission pan and replace the filter inside attached to the valve body. Refill to just under the full line, run engine until transmission fluid is hot and then top off the transmission fluid, DO NOT OVERFILL!!

Check your coolant levels (when the vehicle is cold) also your oil level and make sure the fins in your radiator are not blocked with dust or debris.

check the coolant, make sure it is full, and it is not over aged. if it is, check the themostat.

Temp raises to hot level after running for 15 min. do i need to change themostat or flush cooling system ?

actually, i would recommend o do both. change the thermostat and flush the entire coolant system. this is best.

Have a 2001 Dodge Durango. Temp is hot, coolant is cold. Replaced thermostat still running hot

try removing themostat and see if temp improves make sure themostat is fitted the wright way not upside down
