What could cause a clicking noise when braking? Also there is a rubbing sound when turning right.

The brakes were replaced about 3 years ago.

SOURCE: 2004 Saturn Vue Brakes

The vibration is caused by the rotors being warped. Remove the front tires and check the front brake pads. Replace if needed. This is a pretty straight forward job. The rotors are "fall off" rotors and you won't need anything special tool wise.

SOURCE: rear wheel/brake noise

first check condition of discs and pads if all is good drive and pull up handbrake slowly to see if its the handbrake shoes making the noise if still a problem will most probably be rear wheel bearings

SOURCE: I have a very strange

it is the ecm, it sits there on all 91-99 saturns. i heard that sound once on a 94 when i accidentally hooked a charger up backwards. I do not know how you managed to replace it without knowing what it was, makes no sense to buy and install a part and not know what it is.

You probably have "metalic" pads and they do that alot. I would replace with "ceramic" pads to get rid of the noise.

1998 Dodge Stratus rubbing noise when turning. Sounds like rubber against metal. No popping noise.

It could be several things ....
Wheel bearings - jack the front driver side up. First ... just rotate the wheel ... you should hear NOTHING. Any noise menas there is probably a wheel bearing/hub issue. Now take hold of the tire in the 9am and 3pm positions. Try to push/pull from side to side ... if there is any "play" in the wheel the bearings are going.
Brake line interference - a lot of brake lines have a plastic sheath in the wheel well area ... check to see that the line/plastic sheath shows no wear when you have the wheel off...that might cause the issue.
Steering linkage - even though the upper control arms were recently replaced look at all the ball joints and grab hold of them and see if there is any play/movement.
Repeat on the passenger side..
Good luck on your troubleshooting

I'm getting a sprocket clicking noise from one of the front wheels when I turn right and applying the brakes

Sounds like a worn outer CV joint. But that would click during turns even without the brakes. Can you verify that?

If it only happens when braking, could be a brake part, like the backing plate rubbing something.

After new brakes, grinding noise in rear. repair guy says need $600.00 proportion valve job! Already had new one 3 years ago.

The grinding sound could be a brake pad installed wrong or backwards. There should not be any grinding what so ever. There is a serious problem.I would take it to a shop or dealership you can trust and have it check out.

Something is rubbing on my drivers side tire

Explorers have a bad rep for brake calipers getting stuck. Which in turn can ruin your rotors. Do you hear a grinding noise when you stop or a clicking/squeeking noise when hit your brakes? If so check the brake caliper and the rotors. If the rotors are rough they may need to be turned or purchased new ones. Sounds like a brake caliper to me though. Hope this helps!

There is a breaking noise , feels like its not catching and skidding..

If you are talking about brakes, and the noise is a clicking sound, then you have drum brakes on the rear of your car. The springs in them break sometimes and causes a clicking noise. If it is a rubbing noise and you can feel a vibration in the steering wheel when you hit the brakes, it is a front rotor that is warped. If you haven't had a brake job in a couple of years, then your due.

Noise while turning

no clicking what so ever i asked a friend of mine who used to be a mechanic and he said that it could possibly be the dust sheild on the brake caliper rubbing, there is no clicking sound. It makes a sound like the rotor is bumping into something when you turn. if i turn only a little there is little or no noise and it gets worse/louder the more u turn in that direction.

Grinding noise in the left front wheel while turning right - gets more noticeable the harder the turn is. Checked tire clearance - no problem, but it's not a rubbing noise but a grinding noise. No problem...

grinding on front wheel is caused by 2 things. a bad or loose wheel bearing,or worn out brakes, have them both checked
You might also want to check the level of fluid in the power steering reservoir - low or lack of fluid will also cause a noise (although more of a whining than a grinding).
