Where is the air compressor dryer located on a 1999 mercury mystique

If you mean A/C compressor, there are safety switches for high and low pressure. You need to evacuate the A/C system with a Vacuum pump and then fill it with Freon. If you already did this, chances are that when the Freon stabilized, it was either too high or too low of a pressure and the safety switches worked.

You must have recharged the unit? Or replaced the compressor unit? Some have an "overload" relay, it may have caused one of the fuses to blow.

I would recommend replacing the thermostat before chasing e.c.t.

There are two locations that contain fuses and relays on this car. This is from the owners manual.

1. The passenger compartment fuse

panel.

It is located on the driver's side

under the instrument panel.

2. The power distribution box

It is located on the driver's side of the engine

compartment.

They contain the main fuses and

the main relays. The circuits

protected are identified by

numbers on the passenger

compartment fuse panel and inside

the cover on the power distribution
box

This is a sigh of low freon...the low pressure switch is making the compressor go on and off..
You can buy a small kit of 134A freon at walmart and put it in your self...hope this helps you??

Its at the back of the engine where trans and engine meet 2.0 or 2.5 there not fun to do

YOU HAVE TO REMOVE TIMING BELT.NOT A HARD JOB BUT YOU NEED A REPAIR MANUAL TO LOOK AT TIMING BELT TIMING MARKS LOCATION ON CAMSHAFTS CHAIN SPROCKETS AND CRANKSHAFT GEAR TIMING MARKS.

it should be locate on the inside of the fuse box or panel

under car by the firewall on the driver side you will have to put it on jackstand it does not fall onyou

chances are there is a bad bearing, inside the air conditioner compressor. where the belt goes there is a centrifugal clutch, listen close to there and if's from there, you need a new compressor.
