No spark indicates either a coil, distributor,or crank position sensor problem.

Try removing your A.I.S. (automatic idle speed) motor, and clean the plunger, and port that the plunger goes into with throttle body cleaner or similar. Quite often this gets gummed up & sticky and will cause it to stall or idle down real low, especially when a load on engine, such as AC on, turning, etc. The purpose of this part is to step-up the idle, automatically when those conditions occur. If it shows improvement, for a while, then starts doing it again, I'd put a new one on.

SOURCE: running problems

Idle air control valve or a vacuum leak, the idle air control valve controls the amount of air let into your engine when you start or while running you holding your foot on the gas lets more air in.

I have a 1986 for ranger this happens very regular now need help asap I can crank it up and it will crank fine most time till this happens going down road the truck will start to bog down you can let off...

If you have any rubber fuel lines in the fuel system, I would replace them. Over a period of time the insides of the hoses swell up and stop the fuel flow to the engine.

1994 ford thunderbird acts like its going to die rpms and volts go down and then comes back up. but recently it has started to actually die

I don't think any of these answers so far hit the nail in the head. First off... Fuse guy is most likely wrong. Fuel pumps work or they don't. You having an intermittent problem would eleminate that. I would start with #1 cheap and #2 easy. Take it to O'Reilly if you have any codes. Post them as an update to this question. I would start by running a can of GOOD fuel system cleaner through. I prefer Chevron. After that tank is used up, change your fuel filter. Check your spark plugs to see how bad they are. Do this while the engine is cool do you don't burn yourself and it lessens the chance of getting burned. My rough idle problem actually turned out to be a faulty coolant temp sensor, which is also pretty cheap and easy to change out. Check fuel pressure by "renting" a fuel pressure tester at O'Reilly. They give you a100%refund when you're done using it. Look up your fuel pressure specs online and see if you have a weak pump. Many other options to try at home. Keep us up to date!

Why wont the gages work or say running?

Transponder key needs programmed. You can't just make a copy of those keys. They have to be programmed.

Running sluggish and now will not start. I don't

Hi:

I think you will find the FP relay under the hood in one of the two black power distribution boxes.

When you turn the ign key to run, you should hear the pump run for 3-5 seconds to prime the system, then stop. You might have someone lie down outside and see if they hear it.

Verify that relay and fuse for pump are good first, and then attaching a pressure gage to the fuel rail will confirm whether or not pump is working properly if at all.

Also, make sure that your battery is not the culprit before replacing the pump. Chrysler products are very sensitive to a flaky/dying battery.

My 98 dodge caravan has a loss of power and dies when stopping

Filter is mounted directly above the pump module on top of the fuel tank. You may have to drop it down a little bit to change it. Also check the fuel pressure with a good gauge while it's running poorly and see if it's out of spec.

Stalling on our 96 Dodge Caravan

Once a filter plugs its pluged. You drop that much pressure its time for a new fuel pump.
