The ABS light usually is not affected by a dead battery?
Since you didn't put down year or mileage, your ABS sensors might have metallic flakes on them since it's a magnet and the metal dust shavings from brake pads stick to the magnet, Clean the sensors off usually the 2 front ones, or bring it to a shop with an ABS sensor reader, not an OBD II reader which can't find problems with ABS..

My 2003 yukon xl is cutting off in the middle of the street, it seems like the battery won't stay charge, the ac only works on defrost and it blows very low. after replacing the brakes the abs lights...

if you think its a alternator not charging battery properly heres the specs. when vehicle is off, at battery there should be at least 12.6 volts, when it is running, at battery there should be at least 14.2-14.7 as for the low fan speed. there is not enough of volts to run it properly. if abs light is on, its most likely a bad speed sensor or a broken or bad wire to the sensor. go to auto-zone and tell them you need to scan for a bad abs sensor, they will do this for free of cost. good-day !

Try removing the negative cable from your battery for about sixty seconds, re install and see if the light continues to show on. It may have set a "soft" code and won't return. If it comes back on, you need to take it to a shop and have it diagnosed. Some states won't let you pass smog with that light on, like California.

Abs and brake, battery lights won,t turn off .

I have the same van with similar problems. I had a small leak from the lower left corner of the windshield that dripped down into my fuse box when we had a heavy rain. My defrost light and dome lights got stuck on. We had to remove the fuses and let the box dry out. We had to take it to someone to find the leak and caulk the windshield. I don't know if this might help but you might look into this????? Good luck.
