Location of fuel tank and fuel pump on jaguar xj6

It is located in the tank and you can access it from the top of the tank.

FUEL PUMP SETS DOWN INSIDE THE CENTER OF THE BIG FUEL TANK.FUEL TANK HAS TO DROPPED DOWN TO REMOVE FUEL PUMP.

The fuel pump is in the gas tank.

Try tracing the fuel line from the gas tank to the fuel injection. If you are unable to find it then most likely the filter is located in the fuel tank with the fuel pump if equiped with an electronic fuel pump. Some fuel pumps are located in the tank, by the tank, or on the engine. either way if you trace the fuel line you should find it unless it is in the gas tank like I mentioned. Good Luck!

It sounds like a change over valve is faulty. U have 2 check over valves 1 on each side of rear wheel wells. Also a change over valve that switches 1 tank to other. I recomend replacing all 3 valves for peace of mind,because when 1 goes the others follow. Hope this is helpful!

I hate to correct you Guru but on a 89 xj6 the fuel pump is located between the fuel tank and filter under the car. right above rearend. Its a littler hard to see but a easy fix

there is only one fuel pump on that model. I'm in the middle of putting an lt1 in my 84 jag. The pump is towards the rear of the spare tier or closest to you when you open the trunk. There is also a small switching unit located next to it with lines running to either tank. This is what controls which tank the fuel is being pumped from

The 1993 and 1994 XJ6 Fuel Pump Relay is located in the trunk of the vehicle on the right hand rear side. It is light blue and black in color.
