Blew fuses 8 and 9 under hood. Made no sound when key was turned. Had car towed. new sarter. Would not start at repair shop after starter was installed. they said "from sitting" Drove five miles to home. parked car overnight. Wont start. Made a fast spin brrr noise and now just clicks clicks
In addition to both answers, sounds like a dead battery, if you drove five miles, the battery is not holding the charge which is generated by the alternator..
What are fuse 8 n 9 connected to?? Did you replace blown fuses? What model, year, make, engine etc?
In addition to Andrew's answer; check the age of your battery as they do not last forever. If a Walmart/Autozone, etc. battery, then they are typically good for 2 years and rapidly fail often without any warning.
Check the condition of your battery cables. They should be clean and completely free of corrosion (and that means the cables - not just the connectors, as battery acid can leach through the plastic cable wrap as if it were a hose).
Remove and clean all cable connections: Negative to ground if at frame, and frame to engine block (sometimes two different cables). Positive to power distribution box and to battery (again may be two different cables).
If all that is good, and it still acts up after charging, then suspect a dead or dying battery. FYI - the charging system can be tested for free at Autozone, Advance, or any other Auto parts store for free.

fuses are'nt linked to startor that's a relay as I have mine ran to a car-PC with voice start. ANyhow you would need to look up in owners book fuse location chart. What fuse socket that keeps blowing runs to, my guess is it blows before you start car as soon as your ignition goes to accessory then it kicks on that fuse bank. DO NOT STICK BIGGER FUSE IN AS THIS COULD CAUSE FIRE. first find out what that fuse controls.. is it the fuel system, radio, PCM ect.. could be a ignition fuse but these tend to be bigger what size is the fuse you blow?

check to make sure your starter bolts not loose or 1 fell out. your starter drive pinion gear is broken or the fly wheel is broken. take the starter to advance auto or auto zone to check it out . buy a fly wheel dropping the tranny to have it put on going to cost you .good luck.

Try grounding the engine, they may have moved, removed, or broken the ground straps.
Take a jumper cable from the black(NEG) post to a bolt or clean piece of metal on the the engine.
And see if it starts.
Also check the connection at the starter, in case they had it disconnected during the repair.
Hope this helps.

They have either left a wire to the starter unhooked or they have blown a fuse or fuselink
Check fuse # 8 -20 amp and look for the starter relay. The fuses and relays are in a black box under the hood near battery. The lid of the box will tell you every fuse and relay. There should be a spare fuse in the box or take one from another circuit and try to start the car
