The front passenger window on my 03 Outback won't go up. It went down with no problem. When I tried to put it up the next day it didn't work. The other windows seem to be working just fine. I tried both switches, drivers and passengers side. Nothing happens.

Hi there,
Very simple. Only one of a few things. First off. Push the up and down switch, listen, if there is a humming sound, your actuator may be fine. You window may be off track. If it is not off track, and there is a humming sound, then it may be the master switch. They are not that expensive. If it is not the master switch, the only other two things it could be is the up/down button or the connectors under the button. I hope that helped you out. Good luck and let me know. Have a great day.~MWD

The switches in Subarus are made by Nissan believe it or not. They are not interchangeable. Anyway, I suspect you have a bad window switch. You can pickup the whole bank of swiches or replace just the one. Do a search on ebay for your part.
Has this car had body damage on the driver's door? You could have a cut wire inside the door.

check and see if window lock feature is on,the switch is on the master switch, sounds silly but the easy this can sometimes get overlooked

i would make sure the master switch is not the problem, make sure power and ground are supplied to the motor from the switch you'll need a test lamp, the light should come on by probing at the motor connector, light willcome onup position ,other pole will light in down position,no light ,no power bad switch good luck

Remove the inner door panel and disengage the window track from the motor gear, you may have to at least partially remove the window motor, push the window into place and put everything back to hold it there.
