Location of the computer control rely for 2003 Honda CRV

The '03 Honda CR-V has two main relays; PGM-FI Main Relay 1 and PGM-FI Main Relay 2. Both main relays are located behind the right side of the dashboard near the glove box. After the glove box is removed, you should see two rows of relays. The main relays are in the row closest to the glove box at the far end towards the driver's side. Based on my experience, it would be very abnormal for even one of these relays to have failed let alone both. If there is a power distribution problem I would lean more towards a possible electrical ignition switch failure as this is fairly common in these older Honda vehicles. What problems will I hav wit a bad ignition switch on my ford 500

Several, like failing to activate the starter or failing to shut off the Ignition completely when the engine is off. Just depends on which terminal is the worst.

Now there is an Interlock switch which links the shift cable, Ignition switch and brakes for safety. Sometimes this switch, the Interlock, will make it impossible to use the starter when the Ignition key is turned to the start position.

The Interlock switch is located on the brake pedal lever under the dash. It often gets dislodged or broken by the Drivers' feet. Depending on your symptoms, the Interlock switch could well be the cause of your problems.

I cannot get spark to coil, on 4.3 2000 v6 replaced ign module, pos sen,cap rotor, coil, fuel pump and timing

it sounds like you may have an ignition switch problem. if no spark to coils this may be it ! There are two major parts of an ignition switch, which may fail, causing starting problems. Either the electrical switch fails or the lock cylinder mechanism fails. Any of these two failures may manifest themselves in the form of the following symptoms. The obvious symptom of a bad ignition switch is the refusal of the car to start. If the car battery and the alternator are ruled out for any problems, the culprit is mostly the ignition switch that may have to be replaced. This may occur because of problems with the lock cylinder or the underlying electrical switch. If you notice the discrepancy whereby the headlights switch on and the car horn is working, but the car won't start, you can be assured that the ignition switch is the source of the problem. So if you notice such a discrepancy, it's time to get the ignition switch checked or replaced.

Ignition switch will not activate starter motor consistently. Sometimes no, sometimes with a second click of key. Cleaned ignition switch contacts and wire harness connector contacts. Could a relay be the...

Bad ignition switch and starter symptoms are similar. The engine will turn sometimes and will not turn some other times. If it is the switch you will not even here a clicking sound. If the starter is bad you might hear a clicking. If the distributor is bad than the engine will turn every time but it will not start running or will start but not run properly (misfire).

My 1988 Chevy van has to power going to the ignition. it has power, because the starter will jump, but the key wont do it. also, the dash doest get any power. any ideas?

Check all connections at you wiring harness to and from the starter. GM routed wiring on selniod from battery. Also a bad ground would be a possible cause for no ign power plus a bad ignition switch being possible with symptoms you describe here.Use a testlight to make sure you are getting power off your switch on both sides. If you have power in and nothing out the switch is your problem
