Pull starter from vehicle bench test it. If your not comfortable testing it at home the local parts house will do it for you. I am guessing the bendex spring is broken and it is not engaging for that reason. Your local parts house should have a replacement for the 3.0 6cyl for around 115.99 and a 19 dollar core (Oriely's Auto) or the 3.9 8cyl for around 128.99 and a 10 dollar core. Good luck and as a final note do yourself a favor and buy the new starter bolt kit as well. It will make your finished job much sweeter.

- If temp guage reads normal, the lack of heat may be due to the Heater Control Valve. Located in front of the radiator. Lower passenger side. A real bugger to replace.
- The plastic cap just over the thermostat is key in re-filling the anti freeze and bleeding air.

Check the serpentine belt, it has probably snapped and the battery drained when the alternator stopped charging.

have been at this for 50 years & don't believe
that the electronic parking system goes on
by it'self,but would like to hear more detail
Are you sure your not having ABS motor or pump
hcu unit issues
the starter motor looks like this. One of the positive battery cables should go to starter. The starter motor drive gear has to engage flywheel. Flywheel is on the rear of engine. The starter motor should be down low on the passenger or driver side. I'd have to look. good luck
