Hello Izzy...posting in the Fixya automotive with a question about the sun is kinda unusual...lol..but here goes...
A quick google search turned up these facts about out sun.
It is a lot bigger than your average passenger vehicle...
The mean radius of the sun is 432,450 miles (696,000 kilometers), which makes its diameter about 864,938 miles (1.392 million km). You could line up 109 Earths across the face of the sun. The sun's circumference is about 2,713,406 miles (4,366,813 km).
Most modern cars have a switch for this so that you can fit a rear facing child seat. Look in the glovebox or at the side of it with the passenger door open. It may have a sign on the sun visor like mine does.....not a Daewoo though.
Assuming you mean the distance from earth to the sun and earth to mercury, the are as follows, according to Wikipedia: The mean distance from earth to the sun is 149,597,890 km.
The mean distance from mercury to the sun is 57,909,715 km. Extrapolating, by subtracting the two distances, one gets 91, 688, 715 km as the mean distance from earth to mercury assuming that the planets were in alignment on the same side of the sun.
However, with mercury on the opposite side of the sun from earth then the distance from earth to mercury would increase by 57,909,175 km over the earth's distance to the sun to 207,007,965 km.
I hope this helps you with your problem with the 1987 Alpine V6 though I can't imagine how.
run fault codes and look for a fuel supply sensor/servo failure. The heat is affecting the fuel system and is causing a fuel vapour lock or is over pressuring the injectors.
It sounds like the sun shell inside the transmission that is faulty, and that is due to a manufacturing process.. Unfortunately, this problem requires a rebuild or replacement of the transmission. The same thing happened to me about a month ago with my 97 Blazer. It cost me $1200.00 for a local transmission shop to rebuild mine. "The "sun shell" connects the reverse input drum to the
sun gear. The 2/4 band wraps around the reverse drum. When the reverse
clutches are applied the sun shell spins the sun gear. When the 2/4 band
is applied the sun shell holds the sun gear from spinning. This is why
when it breaks you lose reverse, second and fourth"
