Its usually the fan. or the sensor that tells the fan to spin.

First you must check the cooling system out partially clogged radiator, collasped hose (inner) ,cooling fan not coming on ,head gasket leak, thermostat and if all those check out possible a/c causing overheat

SOURCE: engine light on in 2006 buick lacross

HI. This will require you to have the engine CPU scanned for trouble code's. This can only be administered with the assistance of a diagnostic computer scan tool. You can purchase this tool at your local auto parts store, or you can just have the scan ran at your local auto zone parts store, free of charge. Once the diagnostic scan is administered, you will be able to isolate the issues that have caused the check engine light to illuminate.

This scan tool will display a print out code and the location of the issue, on the engine, as well. There are Many issues that will cause the engine light to illuminate, but the most common cause will be a failed monitoring sensor, or sensor harness failure(separated power wire, or ground).

Once you have the codes, kindly return to the site, and post them here. We will be able to assist with more accuracy, once the codes are posted.

Thanks..

SOURCE: How do you change a tail light in 2005 Buick

I have a 2002 lesabre and suspect it is the same. The light assemblies are bolted to the car from the inside of the trunk. Mine has three sections. Left side of trunk, across the back of the trunk and right side of the trunk. Open the trunk and look thru the small holes in the back for nuts that hold on the sections. They may require a deep socket to reach. Also not all the nuts need to be loosened. Trial and error. Once the nuts are removed the light assemble is freed from the car. Don't let it fall and scratch the car. The wires will help hold it in place. The light holders usually turn/twist and pull out. A little bit of a pain, but not too difficult. Again the deep sockets are probably required.

SOURCE: need engine diogram for 2007 buick lacross 3800 , po128 (ect)

The code is telling you the engine temp sensor is telling the computer the engine is not warming up as it should.
Sometimes the problem is the thermostat, or low coolant, and sometimes it is the temp sensor.
Check the engine temp with an inferred thermometer first.
Usually the engine temp sensor is a two wire sensor, yellow and black.

My 2008 burick lacross wont get hot heat I replace thermostat water pump and flush the heatercore when I flush the heatercore the heat work for a couple days then it start blowing cold again

Likely the heater control valve for cabin air is failing but could be electrical switch/circuit that controls valve. Check control voltage at valve to isolate.

Looking for a wire diagram on a 2008 Buick lacross cxl

The back up lamps are computer controlled (BCM) . Very doubt full you will be able to fix . You have a factory or professional type scan tool ? Has bi- directional controls ( do you know what this is ?) The transmission internal mode switch is an input to the PCM - engine computer or TCM - transmission control module .The PCM or TCM,when it see's the transmission is put into reverse sends a serial data message to the BCM which turns on the back up lights . But here you go ,free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free-tsb Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size . Under system click on lighting ,under subsystem click on reverse lamps . Click the search button then the blue link . This for the lamp side of the circuit ,from the BCM . To see internal mode switch input to pcm you need look under transmission / transaxle .

2007 Buick Lacross says remote start disabled- how do I fix it?

When the service engine soon light (Also called the check engine light or engine management light) is turned on this is to alert you to the fact that Powertrain Control Module (computer) has detected a failure somewhere in the systems it controls you may not feel any difference in the way the engine runs, this can be the transmission or the engine or emission system, there are fault codes set in the modules memory for these faults. What needs to happen now is to have the powertrain control module scanned with a special tool called an OBD2 electronic engine control scanner or a OBD2 code reader. Once the code(s) are read then you must perform the diagnostics for each code and make the appropriate repairs based on the findings of the diagnosis that was performed, this is called doing "Pinpoint" testing.
