If the temperature control is on cool....sounds like you have other problems with AC. ( compressor not working, needs R134,) Check under the hood for a box that has fuses in it, their are also relays in it. Look for the relay marked AC.

You have clean the blower unit , may be its dirty then . and then check the blower resistor unit for malfunction.

Hi,

The idle control valve is at the right handside and just under the intake manifold.

Stand at the drivers side of your engine bay and look at at the throttle body. The ICV is directly under it and to the right underneath the manifold. It has a vacuum line connected to the left side and a connector on the right. It may be easier to get to if unscrew the hoseclamp to the throttle body and the plug on the side of the afm, as well as the clips from the air box There are 2 hoses going to the boot on the bottom, they just pull out, one of them goes directly to the IAC. The IAC itself should just slide out of its holder. The IAC valve looks like this rixsfixes_0.jpg
Also there is a good video on Youtube showing how to get at the IAC on an E46. The location on your engine is much the same.

You will need to test for power at the ac compressor, with ac on there should be power at compressor for the clutch,

2011 BMW 328i. Yellow exclamation mark, won't crank new battery installed and CAS module relay replaced. I don't know what else to do. Any recommendation?

When you disconnect the battery, it causes the anti-theft system pairing to break. On reconnecting the battery, the key and transponder chip need re-pairing. There are some ideas in the link, but with a BMW your best bet is to call a mobile auto-electrician or an auto locksmith. They both have pro grade scan tool computers that can reset the anti-theft system and diagnose any other electrical issues.

You might try seeing if the compressor for the A/C turns on ( clutch engages, if it does your problem is on the refrigerant side). If doesn't, see if your getting power to the A/C clutch, if you do your clutch is bad, if you don't...find that fuse ( fuse box covers normally tell you what is what t....good luck

I have a 1999 323i BMW. The AC doesnt blow cold (on cool days it blows cool temperature but not common A/C Cold Air, Hot Days it blows Warm/Hot Air). The heater blows warm air but definitely not common...

First things first.....You must have the air conditioning system hooked up to an a/c system machine and then checked for leaks and also read low and high side pressures. If there are leaks then low Freon (R134a) content and low refrigerant oil can cause the a/c system to not engage the a/c compressor which basically means you will not have proper defrost functionality nor regular air conditioning. Most shops, when working with your air conditioning, will install air conditioning dye to assist them in locating leaks and is the first step in diagnosing all a/c systems. Post the findings after thw
