Spark plug gap does not effect the engine timing so it's not that critical. Thirty 5 (.035) should work just fine.
Otherwise consult a service manual fro your model or call a Mitsubishi service centre

SOURCE: Spark plug gap for 1990 Mitsubishi Lancer

hi, in the american database for alldata, there is no lancer in 1990, if your engine is dohc, or sohc though, i checked 2.0 and 1.8, both are 1.0mm - 1.1mm gap. shouldn't be any problem running at these gaps, most every mitsubishi engine runs at this spark plug gap.

SOURCE: my Mitsubishi triton ute is breaking down mid way through rev ran

Depending on how many mils kms your engine has done; you can carry out all the normal tune ups on your triton but if the engine has done over 2000kms replace the cam and lifters & timing gear you'll never tune it right if you don't

How can i bypass the immobilizer in a Mitsubishi triton 1997 Ute

Want to bypass your vehicle security system?
The short answer is you can't!

All modern cars have alarms and immobilizers. There is a transponder in the key and a receiver around the ignition lock. If both are present, the ECM (engine control module) or BCM (Body Control Module) releases power to the ignition circuit or the starter or the fuel pump. When you turn the key, the starter spins the engine and you get a spark. If any one of those three items are not in the chain, you get the engine to turn, but no spark or no fuel. There is no way to beat the system. You have to fix what is wrong, not find a way around it.

The immobilizer is in place to stop exactly what you are trying to do.

Mitsubishi Triton V6 lacks power on acceleration

full power is only achieved when the engine is fully warm(operating temp).so if you accelerate more than, say, a third of the gas pedal, the car will feel sluggish.
this is more apparent when first starting the car in the morning in winter.almost like the car is going to stall.
most wear in the engine is leaving it to idle when cold you should always drive the car straight away from cold.then when hot turn on the a/c if required....

Hi I'm after an ingition diagram for a 91 model Mitsubishi Triton ute. I have a no start problem and I'm unable to check the distributor module as I have no specifications or check procedure.

Free online repair manuals can be found at autozone.com. You just have to register and look around you will find wire diagrams in the manual.
Does the engine crank over but does not start or is it not turning over?
Are you getting any fire? You may check this by removing one spark plug and putting the plug wire on the plug. Then touch the end of the plug to ground, set it against the engine block or valve cover. Have someone turn the engine over while you watch the end of the plug to see if there is a spark. Remember do not hold the plug or wire because you will get shocked.
