If it's making clicking noise then that sounds and means that it's the starter... Nothing else makes it click when turning the key, then the starter... If it was the Alternator it wouldn't hold the charge... You could try with jumper cables to turn it on then removing the negative terminal from the battery... If it turns off then it's the Alternator... Those are two possible solutions... Keep with the updates.
This sounds like the anti theft system is active, you jump start it but it dies out after a few seconds , if this is correct then try another key. the other thing can be a weak battery make sure the battery is fully charged and good,
have battery checked, sound like battery weak or battery cables loose or battery post and cables need cleaning has a lot of corrossion.make sure you turn off radio before disconnecting negative battery cable if you decide clean battery cables and battery post, reason for turning off radio to keep from locking out radio play code.have battery tested battery volts should be 12.6 volts.
sounds like you have a bad starter. If you can see the starter have someone bang on it while you turn the key. it might start. if it does you still need to replace the starter. Make sure the cables going to the starter are clean and tight.
