The alarm tripping is often caused by a bad door or hood switch. Since the hood switch is always exposed to water and corrosion, that one usually goes bad first. Check that out. And no, you can't disable it.

You are not able to disarm the factory alarm on this vehicle. You will need to have it diagnosed. But the issues sounds to me like the key fob is bad and needs to be replaced

if it is factory alarm you can put the key in the drivers door, turn to lock and then to unlock, the alarm should disarm.

Hello, sounds like you have a problem with needing to replace a small rubber hood pad for your alarm button switch that is mounted near the right front corner(passenger side) on the underside of the hood which makes contact with the alarm switch button that is mounted on the right front fender just behind the headlamp housing. Check with your local Kia dealer or even a Hyundai dealer to see if they have a TSB (Technical Safety Bulletin) to have this small rubber pad replaced,it is an updated hood pad that improves better contact with the alarm button to keep the alarm system from going off at random. Since your car is a Spectra,it will be the same as a Hyundai Elantra. The new part number for the rubber hood pad is: 92736-3A000 . You can temporarily disable the alarm system by going to your fuse and relay center just behind the battery and removing the "horn" relay, or unplug the connector at the at alarm switch mounted on the right inner fender well. Note: Your alarm switch and contact pad my also be mounted on the left side as well if they are not on the right side. Hope this helps solve your issue..
