Where is the oil filter located in a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited

Hello Debra Russ,
U may locate oil filter 4 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee 2 way's.

1.) Open 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Glove Box, remove the 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee owners Manual from glove box. Open owners manual to index page, locate oil filter page.

2.) Secure 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee from moving fowards or backwards by blocking wheels in front and back which will NOT allow movement of said 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Using a small person of average build, average height, average weight, average intelligence, average physical appearance, move average said person with said average features of above near the 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee, instruct said person to physically crawl under vehicle while laying on said person backside, (**** scraping on average dirty ground or average dirty filthy oil filled garage floor filled with oil filled kitty litter. Hand said average person an average shop light with an average wallmart brand soft white light bulb, light bulb will bo out very soon so move to next step ASAP. view engine while calling out all massive oil leaks INCLUDING a dirty oil caked oil filter.

Congradulations!
You found it when a black oil droplet drips from the oil filter into said average oil filled hair of said average person!

I have parking sensors on my 2006 jeep grand cherokee front and back. they do not work any more. the computer is telling me to service them. how? I do have two red lights on the displays and i can't...

When you put your jeep into reverse you will see the red lights. These will still work even when is says service parking assist system needs service. The problem is in your transmission control unit. This is a common problem in the Grand Cherokees. You will have two options here. You can take it to your Jeep dealership and ask them to flash the TCU. This may or may not work. The other option is they will have to replace the TCU. They run about $600.00. Hopefully if they flash the TCU it will work again. Good luck

I have a 1997 jeep grand cherokee and the fuse for the parking lights keeps getting blown..(like within 10 seconds of replacing it.)im using the right kind of fuse,so i dont really know what to do now..

Sounds like one of your bulb sockets is shorted out. I have seen bulbs almost melted in their sockets, on grand cherokees in the past. You will have to check all the brake light and bulb sockets to see if they are shorted.

  1. Remove the screws from the lens and separate the lens from the headlight bezel.
  2. Remove the headlight bezel.
  3. Remove the screws from the turn signal housing and pull it out.
  4. Turn the bulb socket counterclockwise 1/3 turn and remove it.
  5. Installation is the reverse of removal.

1999 jeep grand cherokee - brake lights and turn signals working but Right tail light out with all other lights on--HELP??? My 1999 Grand Cherokee has no parking lights in the rear. The brake lights work...

I have taken my car to many shops to solve this problem. Long story short your tail light has a bad circut and entire lamp must be replaced. (Lamp cost approximate $130.00)
